As God continues to move in our student body at Calvary in an unprecedented way, we've scheduled a special chapel service for this Thursday at 10:40 am. We've seen 18 students pray to receive Christ since last Thursday. Some of them will be sharing Thursday morning.

You may have noticed a new worship guide format at Calvary. We’ve reformatted some things to highlight the message each Sunday and expand ways that we can communicate about God’s word together. It includes a new section called “Dig Deeper”.

History class kept getting interrupted last week at Calvary Christian High School. Why? It isn’t because the kids were out of control or the teachers were unconcerned. In fact it was something quite different.

The Gainesville pastor who plans to burn copies of the Koran Saturday has it all wrong. His strategy is mired in anger and hatred and is desgined to be deliberately provocative. I once met a pastor in Indoensia who had a much better approach.

September 4th marks the 50th anniversary of marriage for my Mom and Dad, Erinie and Judy Rice. Our family gathered last weekend to celebrate the milestone. I am so very grateful for their legacy of love and faithfulness.
