Calvary Cares

“Equipping our church family to bless people in our community by feeding the hungry, helping the needy and serving the community.”

Our next Calvary Cares Day will be on Saturday, March 16th.  The purpose of the Calvary Cares Ministry is to provide the Calvary family opportunities to do mission work locally on an ongoing basis as a way to bless others in our community and teach the gospel.  We will have two major events per year and assist Life Groups and ministries throughout the year in identifying service and mission projects which they can perform.

If you or your Life Group is interested in meeting any ongoing needs of the community, please register by clicking "individual or family registration" and let us know the ways that you are willing to help.

Calvary Cares Day Events

The purpose of our two Calvary Cares Days events, one of which is in conjunction with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay, a Calvary mission partner, is to facilitate, through a team of leaders, a mission effort where teams of volunteers are sent out into the community to feed the hungry, help the needy, and serve the community and form a relationship in order to present the gospel.  Projects such as serving food at a soup kitchen, yard clean up for a single mom, painting a house for an elderly person, or helping a homeless shelter spruce up their property.  Check out our current list of projects.
  • By networking with various local agencies and officials to provide projects
  • By informing Life Group Leaders and other Ministry Leaders about CCD
  • By informing the general membership of the opportunity to serve
  • By providing training for project leaders
  • By providing training for evangelism
