What are “Life Groups?”Life Groups are groups of people of similar age and life stage who meet for the purpose of developing friendships and growing in their relationship with God. Life Groups are safe places. You will never be put on the spot to read the Bible out loud or pray in front of others. We understand people have different comfort levels. Nobody knows everything there is to know about God or the Bible. |
We are always striving to grow in our relationship with God and with others. Life Groups help us accomplish both!
At Calvary, we want people to experience and learn real answers to real life issues. In fact, that is what God wants for you as well. God never intended for us to live aimlessly in this world; that is why He gave us His word, the Bible. The best way to connect with God and belong to His church is through a Life Group.
Why should I get involved in a Life Group?
It is the place to belong for your life's journey. You will find a group of friends who will encourage and strengthen you as you discover God's way of living a dynamic life.
Who can attend a Life Group?
Everyone! Calvary has a Life Group for every age group no matter if you are new to Calvary or have been attending for awhile. These groups are always ready and open to receiving new people.
How to Find a Life Group?
- Select one of the Life Group options to the left of this page.
- Complete the Life Group questionnaire.
- Visit the lobby Welcome Center on Sundays and pick up a Life Group Directory.
- Email us your questions at lifegroups@calvarybaptist.org, or
- Call the Life Development office at 727-441-1581 ext. 121.
How do I join a Life Group?
We always encourage people to visit two or three Life Groups until they find the one that best fits them. Once you discover a Life Group you would like to join, simply ask the leader of that Life Group to make you a member. You will be asked to fill out a form so your name and information can be added to that Life Group's software profile. This will ensure that you receive information related to the Life Group such as parties, events, and other special activities.
