Age-Based Life Groups

Preschool Life Groups at the Father's Market

Life Groups is a time for babies and creepers to experience a wonderful time of nurturing and loving care giving. They hear stories and songs of Jesus, and His love for them, while teachers care for their physical needs in a specially designed room located on the first floor of the Primary Wing. Additionally, there is a Nursing Mother's Room, which not only allows care for a nursing baby's needs in a quiet, comfortably arranged setting, the mother may view the worship service via closed circuit television.
Children who are walking to pre-kindergarten age are taught the Bible through structured activity teaching and hands-on experiences. The foundations to many of life's experiences are laid during this time frame of a child's life and it is the goal of our preschool ministry to assist parents in this vitally important time of their family's life.


Xtreme Kids

Life Groups for Children, Kindergarten through 5th Grade, meet Sundays at 9:15 & 11:00a.m. on the second  & third floor of the Primary Wing. Life Groups are grade level small groups which consist of Bible study, prayer, worship, fellowship and activities that help children develop an understanding of who God is and how they can have a personal relationship with Him. Student Life Groups

9:15 a.m. - Middle School

College/Singles Life Groups

Singles Life Groups are the heart of the Single Adult Ministry. It is the key to growing in your faith and building lasting friendships through Bible teaching, ministry, and social activities. 

  • College 20s - This group of college age meet every Sunday morning at 9:15am in the Conference room.  The leaders of this group are Mike & Stacey Shumans.  If you have any questions regarding this group you can email them at rms@amikids.org
  • College/Singles-30s - This group of college and Singles through 30's meet every Sunday morning at 9:15am in room HS-320 (Library).  The leader of this group is Ryan Gainsford. If you have any questions regarding this group you can email  him at ryangainsford@aol.com
  • Co-Ed Young Adults Singles/Marrieds - This group is a blend of singles and married couples.  They meet every Sunday morning at 11:00am in the Choir room. The leader of this group is Tom Hudgins.  If you have any questions regarding this group you can email him at tom@judgementhouse.org
  • Co-Ed 30s-40s Single/Marrieds Adults - This group is a blend of single and married adults meet every Sunday morning at 11:00am in room HS-218.  The leaders are Gary and Janis Russell.  If you have any questions regarding this group you can email them at grussell7@tampabay.rr.com

Married/Co-Ed Adult Life Groups

Most of Calvary's Life Groups are listed as "Co-Ed," meaning they are primarily composed of Married Adults.  You will also notice very broad general age spans listed by most groups.  We believe people connect best when grouped together by their "season of life."  As a result, the fellowships, conversations and application of the bible studies are group appropriate.  Through these Married Adult Life Groups you can find a place to belong at Calvary.  We always encourage people who are looking for a Life Group to pick two or three groups that match them.  Once you make your choices, visit your first group choice at least twice to get a good feel for the group.  If you would like to try another group after that, then move to your second choice and so on.  If given the right amount of effort you will find the right group that best fits you and your spouse.  For more information about Life Groups, contact the Life Developement Office at 441-1581, ext. 121.
