Local Opportunities

If you would like to bless others in our community, here are some options available to you: 

  • Calvary Cares – a day to provide real help to those in our community by feeding the hungry, helping the needy and serving the community, usually in February or March.  Our next date is September 25th.  (read more).
  • Embrace Eisenhower Elementary – an ongoing relationship with this elementary school right down the street.  Opportunities to mentor, tutor, or read to students as well as help with classroom activities. Your Life Group or you as an individual can ADOPT a class today .   We are currently collecting school supplies during the month of August.  You can get the LIST here and bring your items to Calvary any weekday or on Sunday morning.  We are hosting a Kids Beach Club (after school Bible club) this year.  There is a volunteer training on September 19th from 4:00-6:00 pm.  You can sign up HERE, under events look for volunteer training.  For more information, contact Patricia Marder.
  • Clearwater Intermediate School - Calvary has formed a new partnership with this middle school and we are praying for many to sign up to mentor a student.  You can find out more by attending one of two information meetings - Sunday, August 15th at 12:30 or Tuesday, August 17th, at 6:00 pm in Cafe B or email Lori Barsi. 
  • English as a Second Language – teach or help in a classroom where non-English speaking students learn to speak English (read more).
  • First Touch Prison Ministry – opportunities to serve on a team to impact the lives of women coming out of prison and transitioning back into society (read more).
  • Judgement House – this eight scene evangelistic drama uses hundreds of volunteers each October to reach the community for Christ. Next Judgement House presentations will be October 22nd, 23rd & 24th (read more).
