MISSION
Calvary launched its ESL Ministry in September of 2006. Classes meet one night a week for a fall and spring semester. In addition, in the late spring of 2008, we launched an ESL Life Group that meets on Sunday mornings.MINISTRY
ESL classes are held on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm in HS 206 & 207, beginning September 21, 2010.
Childcare is available and you can start the class at any time.
ESL Life Group is held on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am in HS 119
TRAINING
Calvary will be hosting a volunteer training workshop. The training is provided by the Pinellas Baptist Association. A volunteer training workshop (14 hours) is required for those who desire to be ESL teachers. Other volunteer positions are available that do not require formal training. Calvary's ESL ministry doesn’t require volunteers to be teachers by profession or know how to speak another language in order to be effective. All it takes, besides the basic workshop, is a desire to share the gospel and a commitment of faith to be in your place for every class.
