Frequently Asked Questions
Now that you have visited Calvary, you may have a few questions about where to go next. We understand that it may take a while for you to get to know Calvary so we have prepared this section to answer a few of the most frequently asked questions. The next time you are in the church lobby, stop by the Welcome Center or Life Group booth. There you will find volunteers ready to answer any question you might have.
Q. How do I get started? The worship service is a comfortable place to start. Join us on Saturdays at 6 p.m. or Sundays at 9:15 or 11 a.m. Here you will discover why Calvary is intentional for your life’s journey regardless of where you are. Pastor Willy’s message and the music will encourage you to take the next step in discovering dynamic life that comes through Christ. Stop by the Welcome Center as you enter the lobby. We look forward to your visit.
Q. What is a Life Group and how can I join?
A life group is simply a group of people who meet together to build friendships, community, and pursue spiritual growth together. Life Groups are places where friendships are formed, burdens are shared, and real work of the church is accomplished.
Q. Why is Discover Calvary Seminar so important?
The Life 101 Seminar taught by Pastor Willy will introduce you to Calvary. The 4:00-7:30 p.m. class (dinner provided) will answer many of your question; how to become a member at Calvary, how to be sure of your relationship with God, and how to grow in your faith.
Q. What is baptism and why is it important?
The decision to follow Jesus Christ is a personal one, but it should not be a private one. Jesus wants us and even encourages us to let others know about our decision to follow Him. Biblical baptism is by immersion and occurs after we made a personal and private commitment to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is a part of our two worship services nearly every Sunday morning. We also schedule special baptism events through out the year.

Q. How can I be sure of my relationship with God?
Having a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important relationship you will ever have. Here is a simple acrostic that will explain how you can begin a personal relationship with Christ and be sure that you have eternal life that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
Jesus said “I have come that they may have life.” (John 10:10a)
Love - God loves you and wants you to enjoy a personal relationship with Him.
Isolation - You are separated from God because of your sin.
Forgiveness - Jesus died on the cross and rose again to pay the penalty for your sin so you can experience complete forgiveness and eternal life.
Eternal Life - When you place your trust in Jesus, you receive the gift of eternal life.
